It is during his warehouse and distribution management that he discovered a passion for health and fitness, eventually making a career changing move to live the lifestyle. Since then, he has been loving it every day. Shane has 4 years of experience in CrossFit training and competition, with a total of 2 years of instructors experience. He has also owned and managed his own personal training business and managed a gym as the CrossFit head instructor. He holds a CrossFit Level 2 Trainers (CF-L2) certificate and a Chinese Weightlifting Level 1 certificate. Prior to CrossFit, Shane practiced Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts.
As a coach, he believes it is critical for people to have fun, work hard and learn something from their training sessions. He’s passionate about movement and making it a priority in his sessions to ensure people are moving well and moving right. First comes technique, then comes consistency and lastly comes intensity – it is easy to make someone sweat but to really improve their functionality, takes time and a dedication to quality.
